Hollywood’s Hottest Cryptocurrency Investors

What do rappers 50 Cent and Nas, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, actor Ashton Kutcher, boxers Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and computer genius Bill Gates have in common? They all invest in cryptocurrency.

These forward-looking stars of their industry quietly placed money in crypto investments long before Canada created its first exchange traded fund (ETF). Each of these celebrities and many others invested using a direct manner. They purchased coins or tokens.

So, who owns which cryptocurrency? Read on to find out who dabbles in Bitcoin and who plays in altcoins.

Gwyneth Paltrow: Bitcoin

Not only does Paltrow own Bitcoin, but she also signed on as an advisor to Abra Bitcoin wallet in 2017. The show “Planet of the Apps” featured her work with Abra.

Mike Tyson: Bitcoin

Tyson beat her involvement by a year. In 2016, he partnered with Bitcoin Direct to launch its Bitcoin wallet. The wallet features his facial tattoo. In 2019, he launched his own cryptocurrency project, Fight to Fame which features its own token, FF.

Snoop Dogg: Bitcoin and SparkleCOIN

As early as 2013, Dogg expressed interest in selling his music on a blockchain for Bitcoin. He also wanted drone deliveries. In 2017, he received a donation of 1,500 SparkleCOINs from the fintech for his youth football program. He has also participated in events supporting Ripple, but no word on whether he owns any.

Paris Hilton: LydianCoinLtd

Hilton participated in the Lydian launch in 2017. She even tweeted about its launch like a multitude of folks do now to earn bounty.

Nas: Bitcoin

Rapper Nas purchased $25 million of BTC with his manager. The pair uses the accessible Coinbase wallet and exchange. Nas went further though by also investing in more than 40 startups using blockchain technology. He has stated in interviews that he sees Bitcoin and cryptocurrency as the future.

Ashton Kutcher: Ripple and UnikoinGold

The actor/producer also enjoys investing in business and works developing various entrepreneurial ventures. He did not just purchase Ripple and UnikoinGold, he invested in their blockchains. He has donated to philanthropy using Ripple. Kutcher also invested in the company Lolli that rewards its users for their everyday purchases in cryptocurrency.

Many other celebrities also purchased cryptocurrency, but due to the privacy of blockchains, their purchases remain private. Some celebrities have tweeted about buying it or mentioned it in interviews, but few have made their involvement as public as the leaders discussed in this article. Instead of just buying a bit of Bitcoin or an altcoin, Paltrow, Tyson, Dogg, Hilton, and Kutcher have invested doubly.

They work with blockchain technologies to develop the fintech behind the cryptocurrency craze. This deeper level of involvement produces better blockchain technology which leads to improved security and faster financial transactions as well as opportunities for the unbanked.

You can join them in investing by download an exchange and wallet app like Coinbase. Earn free crypto through bounty participation or Kutcher’s app Lolli. Rather than celebrities having all the fun, these actors, athletes, and model see the opportunity in the world of crypto and blockchain. Their projects each work to make investing more accessible to every person.
