Kirsten Larson for $3,210

According to American Girl spokeswoman Stephanie Spanos, the archiving of Kirsten and other dolls was simply an inventory decision. The company needed to make room for new product lines and dolls. Spanos says American Girl “still considers the historical characters to be the heart of the brand.”
